Witch's Hat Quilt Block is a quick and relatively simple paper pieced quilt block to make. It’s great for beginners and sees up fast for those who are more advanced in paper piecing blocks.
The foundation pieced templates come in three sizes so it can fit with any Halloween Patchwork project:
- 6” Quilt Block,
- 8” Quilt Block, and;
- 9” Quilt Block.
Plus if you need another size I have included a chart to help you work out how to scale print or photocopy accordingly.
As with all of my paper piecing patterns, the templates are able to be printed in colour to make fabric placement while you construct the quilt block easier. The template sections also include a 1/4” seam allowance.
Of course this pattern also has a layout diagram and written directions to help you construct your quilt blocks quickly and easily.
I have also included a colouring page so you can work out which fabrics you want to use before you start sewing.
This is a relatively easy quilt block to construct and instructions for beginners in a seperate PDF file for people who are new to the paper piecing patchwork technique!
Quilt Pattern purchasers may sew finished items from my patterns for both personal use and small-scale production for sales at local markets and online. It should not be mass produced. Design Credit is appreciated when selling online. Patterns should not be copied or re-distributed to others without the express permission of Kohatu Patterns.
Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Each of my patterns has been developed with care and tested by multiple people. However, if you find a mistake in one of my patterns, please send me an email containing a photo of the mistake or detailed description (page number and problem) within 30 days of your original purchase. I will not only refund your purchase, but will also provide you with another pattern free of charge as well as a corrected copy of the pattern you originally purchased when it becomes available.
It's not a mistake. Most of my patterns are Foundation Pieced Patterns and Fabric requirements can vary greatly depending on your technique, experience and level of skill.
I have found that most people like to use scraps from their stash or Fat Quarters to make smaller Foundation Pieced blocks.
Large Patterns and Patterns that are not Foundation Pieced will have a list fabric requirements.
The item you have purchased is digital in nature. I highly recommend you download it immediately after purchase and save a copy of this file to your computer for future use. However if something goes wrong and for some reason you can no longer access your pattern, email me with a copy of your receipt, date of purchase or Etsy order number and I will send you another copy as soon as I can.
