This quilt pattern was designed as a beautiful gift for a new baby. The pattern includes eleven foundation paper pieced quilt blocks (Ten Shapes and the Puzzle Ball Centre block)
Most people will remember playing with one of these Shape Puzzle Balls as a child (or as an adult with kids!). That’s why it’s the perfect quilt to make as a baby shower gift or even a toddlers birthday!
When finished the quilt size is approximately 26” x 26”. This sizing includes a 2” border. The quilt is a great size for a bassinet, Moses basket, car blanket or play-mat.
This quilt pattern contains foundation templates for ten (10) 6" shape quilt blocks and one (1) 12" Shape-O Ball center quilt block. It also contains Applique Templates for the Shape Blocks if the purchaser would prefer to use this method. Alternatively if you don’t want to make the entire quilt, you could just make the blocks you like and put them into your own arrangement.
This quilt pattern is great for beginners to the paper piecing method. It comes with basic instructions on how to use the Foundation Paper Piecing Method and by starting with the simpler blocks, you should be able to get used to the method before tackling the larger center block featuring the Shape-O Ball.

It's not a mistake. Most of my patterns are Foundation Pieced Patterns and Fabric requirements can vary greatly depending on your technique, experience and level of skill.
I have found that most people like to use scraps from their stash or Fat Quarters to make smaller Foundation Pieced blocks.
Large Patterns and Patterns that are not Foundation Pieced will have a list fabric requirements.
