Saturday Night Fever is a whimsical quilt block made using the foundation paper piecing method. Is she Disco Dancing, Salsa Dancing or Dancing the Tango? You decide!
This Quilt Pattern was inspired by the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever. It is a fun retro block to make into a stunning quilt by itself, or you can incorporate it with other blocks to make a lovely fun quilt with other quilt blocks.
Templates are provided in 14", 16" and 24" (square) sizes, and you may scale photocopy to achieve other sizes if you wish. The 24" templates are arranged on A3 sized paper and may need to be printed at your local print shop (unless you have an A3 printer at home).
Templates are provided with a colour guide to assist you in placing the correct fabric colours.
All foundation templates include a 1/4” seam allowance. There is also a pictorial layout guide and comprehensive written instructions to assist you in putting the templates together.
This quilt block pattern is a complex pattern with 20 template sections to piece together. Previous experience in foundation paper piecing is recommended.
This is an instantly downloadable PDF Pattern.
Purchasers may use the pattern to make physical items to sell at markets or online if they wish, on a small (handmade) scale. Credit to Kohatu Patterns for the design is highly appreciated where appropriate.
Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Each of my patterns has been developed with care and tested by multiple people. However, if you find a mistake in one of my patterns, please send me an email containing a photo of the mistake or detailed description (page number and problem) within 30 days of your original purchase. I will not only refund your purchase, but will also provide you with another pattern free of charge as well as a corrected copy of the pattern you originally purchased when it becomes available.
It's not a mistake. Most of my patterns are Foundation Pieced Patterns and Fabric requirements can vary greatly depending on your technique, experience and level of skill.
I have found that most people like to use scraps from their stash or Fat Quarters to make smaller Foundation Pieced blocks.
Large Patterns and Patterns that are not Foundation Pieced will have a list fabric requirements.
The item you have purchased is digital in nature. I highly recommend you download it immediately after purchase and save a copy of this file to your computer for future use. However if something goes wrong and for some reason you can no longer access your pattern, email me with a copy of your receipt, date of purchase or Etsy order number and I will send you another copy as soon as I can.
